From the director’s note

Stories have always shaped and documented history, whether that was shared around a fire, across a table, or offered as entertainment to foster connection. This concept of shared storytelling became the heart and ‘north star,’ guiding us throughout our rehearsal process. While incorporating elements of Washington Irving’s original story, we wanted to also embrace the creativity of this adaptation by Hans and Peter Bloedel. As storytelling demands, each rehearsal was highly collaborative between both directors and actors.
